Living out revival. Sounds interesting. And it is. We have seen more people break into the kingdom, healed, set free in the last couple months than ever before. Every week God's presence is tangibly here when we gather on sunday mornings. It really feels like this is how God intended it to be. More accurately, how He intends it to be.
I can honestly say, it is not due to some stellar ability or obedience or steadfastness in us. Really. There are so many that are more faithful, pray more, live more holy... Please don't misunderstand, we are doing what we know to do. But it is only by His empowering, freeing grace that we can stand anyway so the brag is not on us. You may say, "Okay, so why do you think revival has come to City Church?" I can tell you emphatically that I am not sure. I just know this, it is here! And I also know He wants it to remain and build. And I know one more thing. It was about His timing. But it is also about taking a leap out of where we were into where He is. This came through trusting a wonderful brother, Keith Luker, to bring everything the Holy Spirit wanted to pour out.
It is clear to me that if you want all of God, He will find a way to bring all of Himself to you. That comes in so many forms, but for us, it came when Keith released it. He was a catalyst. It wasn't his power, it was God's presence. Yet the Father required a body of believers to bring someone who we didn't know all that well and trust the Holy Spirit to do amazing transformation. And He did. Holy Spirit did amazing transformation in me, in the leadership team, in most of the church. Now we are different, changed. Not perfect. Our goal is not perfection, it is His presence. He perfects us as we pursue Him.
So one of the instructions we have been given is to give this away to anyone who wants it. How? However we can. The City Church website is citychurch.us. There is contact info on the site. What if revival started breaking out all over? It that possible. More than possible, it is the will of God to bring His life to His church.
